Overview
TutorDesk is an offline-first coaching management application designed for individual tutors and small coaching centers.
We respect your privacy and are committed to keeping your data secure.
Data Collection and Usage
TutorDesk does not collect or store your data on its own servers by default.
All data entered into the app — including student names, mobile numbers, attendance records, tests, and fee details — is stored locally on your device.
Internet Usage
TutorDesk works primarily offline for managing students, attendance, fees, and tests.
However, certain optional features — such as StudentDesk Sync — require an internet connection to function.
StudentDesk Sync (Data Sharing Feature)
TutorDesk offers an optional feature called StudentDesk Sync, which allows tutors to share academic data with their students through the StudentDesk app.
When this feature is used:

Selected student data (such as batches, attendance, and test performance) is securely transmitted to cloud services (Firebase Firestore)

Data is shared only after tutor approval

Each student can access only their own data

No public access to data is provided
This feature is fully controlled by the tutor and is not enabled automatically.
Data Sharing
TutorDesk does not share your data with third parties for advertising or analytics.
Data is only transmitted when using the StudentDesk Sync feature, and solely for the purpose of enabling student access to their academic information.
Permissions
TutorDesk may request access to:

Device storage → for attaching files and creating backups
These files remain under your control and are not uploaded unless you explicitly use a sync feature.
Data Backup and Restore
Backup and restore features are manual and controlled by the user. Backup files are stored locally or in user-selected storage locations.
Security

Synced data is securely transmitted and stored using trusted cloud infrastructure (Firebase)

Access to synced data is restricted to approved users only
Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated in future versions. Updates will be reflected in the app.
